SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer and is the technology (or protocol) for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding any sensitive data that is being sent online. SSL is a basic requirement today for all modern websites. Many hosts charge extra for SSL certificates and it can be complicated to set up without technical knowledge. Our hosting comes with a free SSL certificate as standard, installed for you.
Your web hosting account includes up to 5 email addresses associated with your domain name (eg. AnyName@YourWebsite.com). All email accounts can be accessed through an easy-to-use webmail application. Email accounts can also be integrated with your preferred email client application such as Microsoft Outlook, Mail for Windows, Windows Live Mail (and others). If you wish, your emails can also be forwarded automatically to a different email address. For example: AnyName@YourWebsite.com can be sent to YourName@Gmail.com, YourName@Outlook.com, and so on. We will set up your email when we create your website and provide you with full instructions to get you up and running.
We'll take a snapshot of your website each day and keep 30 historic revisions. If anything goes wrong, we can restore individual files, databases, email accounts or your entire account.
Our web servers are run by award-winning green web hosting provider Kualo on 100% renewable power procured directly from the Open Energy Market in the UK. Kualo's state-of-the-art data centre is not only powered entirely by renewable energy but has also been built from the ground up with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind. The data centre uses cold-aisle containment and adiabatic water cooling technology, accomplishing a world-leading PuE of 1.05, making it one of the most efficient web hosting facilities in service today.
In a nutshell, it makes it simpler for you if you don't have the technical knowledge to set up and manage the web hosting yourself. Many people are put off or intimidated when faced with a web hosting control panel and don't want to deal with things like FTP, SSL certificates, MySQL databases, setting up email accounts and so on. If you fall in this category our managed hosting is the ideal solution.
Another benefit is that we will deal with any problems if they arise. So you won't have to contact the web hosting company or figure out what has gone wrong.
Did you know your website is contributing to dirtying up the planet? Most people are completely unaware of the issue as it relates to web hosting. In fact, web servers (the computers on which your website is hosted) consume immense amounts of energy to keep them running and constantly online. It has recently been estimated that the IT industry as a whole generates about 2% of the world's CO2 emissions, equivalent to the entire global airline industry. Moreover, if the internet was a country, it would be the sixth largest energy consumer in the world. Choosing Green web hosting is not going to save the planet overnight, but it does demonstrate a badly needed commitment to change and, in a small but significant way, helps reduce your carbon footprint. If you wish, you can show others that you care by displaying a badge on your website (like the one below) and encourage others to do the same.

In the meantime, we have a lot of catching up to do. Make your website more environmentally friendly with green web hosting and make the world a greener place, one website at a time!
Your web hosting account comes with cPanel access. When your website goes live we will send you all your account details. In most cases, you will not need to use cPanel, and we recommend that you do not use it under any circumstances unless you know what you are doing. Making the wrong changes in cPanel can literally destroy your website. However, you may need cPanel access for your future web development needs. For example, if you wish to change your web hosting provider or employ the services of a different web developer.
Our web hosting packages are charged annually in advance at €90 and last for 1 year. You are free to change your web hosting package at any time and move your website to another host. However, no refunds can be made once your annual payment is made, so if you do want to move to another host please make sure you plan in advance and move your site before your renewal fee is due.
Yes. You are free to host your website with any company you choose, but please make sure you know what you are buying before signing on the dotted line. If you have your own web hosting, you will need to provide us with the login details to your control panel, or at least FTP access so we can set up and configure your website. You will also be responsible for any web hosting problems that arise and will need to liaise with your hosting company directly to resolve those issues. Typical examples include: your website being offline because of web hosting problems and issues with your SSL certificate. If you host your website with us, we will resolve any issues for you.
SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer and is the technology (or protocol) for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding any sensitive data that is being sent online. It establishes an encrypted link between a web server and a browser and ensures that all data remains private. In order to implement SSL you need an SSL certificate installed on your web server, and your site needs to be configured to ensure the protocol is correctly implemented. You can identify a website with SSL because it will show a padlock in the address bar of your internet browser and it will also be marked as 'Secure'. Another thing you will notice is that the address uses secure HTTPS instead of non-secure HTTP.
SSL is a basic requirement today for all modern websites. Many hosts charge extra for SSL certificates and it can be complicated to set up without technical knowledge. SSL is included at no additional cost for all websites in our web hosting package.
