My name is Keith Burke. I was born in Edinburgh (in Leith) in 1965 and lived there for the first 6 years of my life. I grew up in Paisley - a former mill town near Glasgow - once famous for its Paisley pattern shawls and later for its local punk rock scene. I moved to London in 1983 and lived in various locations all across the city, including Woodgreen, Euston, Notting Hill, Vauxhall and finally Islington, where I stayed for nearly 20 years. I still consider myself an honorary Londoner and think of London as one of the most exciting and diverse places on the planet.
In 1996, I was offered a job at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) where I worked for 10 years and played a central role in developing the company website. In 2006, I moved to Spain (with my wife Georgina), to begin a new life in the sun, not too far from the beautiful city of Valencia.
I've been working in the web development industry since 2001, first as an in-house developer with the Chartered Institute of Housing and later as a contractor with a web services agency called Currant - based in Coventry, in the UK. Over the years, I've worked with a wide variety organisations, providing a range of core services, including web design and development, web maintenance and support, web editing, content development, web analytics, newsletters, search engine optimisation (SEO) and more.
Since January 2016, I've worked as an independent contractor with clients in the UK and Spain. My clients include musicians, writers, therapists, book publishers, event organisers, local businesses, and a UK national charity.
I provide a friendly, efficient and cost-effective service and always aim to exceed client expectations. When my clients are happy, I'm happy too, and providing customer satisfaction and good value is my number one priority.
